What is VoIP?

VoIP offers the possibility of features not available through regular phone services. With VoIP you can get additional telephone lines without added cost. You can get an inbound “Virtual Number” from any country or area where you have friends and relatives. They will pay their local rate when they call you.

How do I place a VoIP call?


At home, with your phone connected to the Internet via an adapter, you simply pick up your phone, hear a dial tone, and dial the number as you normally would. The call goes over the Internet to your party's local telephone company for completion of the call. Telphin offers various plans that give you options for unlimited calls to certain countries. You can also place VoIP calls from your mobile phone even when you’re not in a Wifi zone. With Telphin you can buy   virtual numbers from almost every destination in the world, save money when you travel and much more. Can I make calls using the Telphin system from any phone?

You can place cheap VoIP calls through the Telphin system from your home phone, from a friend’s home phone, from your mobile phone whether in your home city or traveling abroad.

Do rates differ depending on the time of day of the day of the week?

That’s the beauty of Telphin’s cheap VoIP service. You can call any time of day or any day of the week at the same cheap rate. It makes no difference.


Is there a difference in price or procedure between local and long-distance calling under one of your unlimited plans?


No. All calls to areas designated by your Telphin plan are covered by the flat rate of your low monthly bill. For example, if you have the Unlimited US, Canada, Israel, St.Petersburg, Moscow plan it will cost you only $24 per month to make calls to those destinations. You can talk as often and for as long as you like and at any time of day or night.

I don’t want a calling plan with a flat monthly fee. What are the options?

Do I need equipment to make VoIP calls from my home phone?


Some of our services, like Call Forwarding, or calls from a mobile phone, don’t require any equipment at all. Others require a broadband Internet connection - cable modem, DSL, T1, or any high-speed, always-on connection and a small adaptor that we will ship to you. Can I take my phone adapter with me when I travel?


Yes. You can use our VoIP service for your calling plans wherever you travel, as long as you have a high-speed Internet connection available. Your connection will work the same as from your home or business, with no difference in your charges. Some of our services don’t require an adapter at all. Does my computer have to be turned on to use my Telphin connection?


No. But your broadband Internet connection needs to be active to use your unlimited calling plan. You can also use your computer for any other task while talking on the phone.
What if I'm always calling the same place overseas? Can I get a local number there?
You and your friends and family can save a bundle when you get a number local to where they live. Telphin’s Direct Phone Numbers allow you to select country/area code(s) for your number(s) different from the city where you live. For example, if you live in Boston, but have many friends and relatives in Moscow, you can get a Moscow Virtual Telephone Number for the low cost of $10 per month. Friends and relatives in Moscow who call that number will pay their local rate instead of making an international call to your Boston number. Own a local phone number in New York ($5), Tel-Aviv ($10) or in 40 other countries. People calling that number can find you anywhere in the world on any landline or mobile phone. What is a Virtual Phone Number?


That is just another name for Direct Phone Number. Let’s say you live in New York but have lots of friends and relatives in Tel Aviv. You can buy a “Virtual Number” in Tel Aviv and give it to all your contacts there. They dial your Tel Aviv number but we forward these calls for free to your home or mobile phone in New York. They save a lot of money by paying their local Tel Aviv rate. You pay a cheap VoIP rate of 2.5 c per minute. How does your Call forwarding service work?


Purchase a "Virtual Number" from Telphin for as little as $5-a- month in a destination where you have a lot of friends and family. (We have Direct Numbers across the U.S., much of Europe, Israel, and more cities in Russia than anyone else.) Telphin’s free Call Forwarding service will forward calls from your Virtual Number to any of your physical phones-- home, office or mobile. Don’t miss a single call. Using any browser you can control how and when to forward the calls. There is no equipment to install. If you travel and have a different phone number abroad, just input the new number and all calls will ring wherever you are. Remember, the Call Forwarding service is free. Does Telphin have cut rate services for a mobile phone?


We have thought of every option to make it possible for you to make cheap VoIP calls with your mobile phone whether you’re in a Wifi zone or not, and even when you travel abroad. You can forward all calls to your Telphin numbers to your mobile phone. The service is free of charge. In addition, if you want to make outgoing long distance or international calls, we give you several options of doing it for 90% less than the regular phone companies. You can send us an SMS, or log onto your Client Profile page, or use your favorite Instant Message service to  tell us the number you wish to call. We will do the rest. Our CALLBACK service will simultaneously make cheap VoIP calls to your mobile phone and to your destination number, and merge the two calls. Within seconds you will hear your phone ring. Do I need to be in a WiFi zone to make long-distance calls from my mobile?

You are free to place a call from anywhere your mobile phone has reception. Can I make calls using the Telphin system from any country?

Do I pay for incoming calls to my mobile phone?


No. On regular plans all incoming calls are free no matter where or when they originate. That's a huge savings over the regular mobile phones companies that often charge you for incoming calls. 


Are calls to other Telphin customers free?

Yes. All calls to Telphin customers are free, so it’s in your best interest to get your friends and family to sign up.  

Can I make directory call and emergency calls to 911?

No, unfortunately, we don't have this service.

Can I get a voicemail?


Our Shared Number and Travel Savings plans have an associated voicemail – but with a convenient twist. The voice message and caller’s caller-ID are forwarded to your email account. Need a complete answer


What methods of payment does Telphin use?


Telphin accepts credit card payments and Pay Pal.


Do you mail monthly statements?


All Telphin statements are electronic. You will receive an email when your bill is due each month. You can see your bill at any time by logging in to your account on your Client Profile page.


Whom should I contact if I have a problem with my bill?

Can I see my active services and my call history online?


Yes, you can always access records of your calls and your account's active features through the My Account pages. You can always see your call history for any period you like by selecting a range of dates.


Can I change my active services online?


Yes, you can make the change at any time by logging in to your account and going to your Client Profile page. We are the most flexible company around and don’t force you to take a package of services you don’t need.


How do I cancel the service?


To cancel service, call the Telphin support team at (800) 813-9144 and receive a cancellation number. You then need to send an email to info@telphinusa.com with a written request to cancel your service, including the cancellation number.


What is your refund policy?


According to the terms of our 14-day Money Back Guarantee, you can return your equipment and receive a full refund for all charges if you e-mail us your cancellation request and ship back the equipment to us during the first 14 days of service.


Do I ever pay any fee for terminating my service?


You may cancel your Telphin services at any time by contacting us. You pay no termination fee as long as you return your Telphin equipment within 14 days of termination. If not you will be charged for the equipment. If you contact us to cancel and return your equipment within the first 14 days of having your account and equipment, you pay nothing, according to the terms of our 14-day Money-Back Guarantee. If you terminate at any point after the initial 14 days, you pay for the full month of service.


Is your credit card processing secure?


Telphin uses PayPal, a global online payment system, to process your credit card payments. PayPal uses the latest technology to ensure the security your transactions.


How long has Telphin been in business?

Are there any hidden charges?

No. There are no maintenance fees and no hidden charges. VoIP telephony is so cheap that expensive phone bills will become a distant memory.
